Part Two: Chocolate Orange and Chocolate Salted Caramel
We love hearing from you, the lovers of our Booja-Booja delights (after all, we make all our delicious chocolate truffles and vegan ice creams for your enjoyment). We’re always interested in your suggestions for new flavours and although we can’t make every variety you request, we do listen and our new chocolate truffle range has been developed with your feedback in mind.
Chocolate Orange is one of the UK’s most popular chocolate flavours. Comforting and familiar, the contrast between rich smooth chocolate and zesty fruity orange is easy to love and hard to beat. It’s one of the flavours we’ve been asked about the most, so we couldn’t resist working our Booja-Booja magic on this classic combination.
Our new Chocolate Orange Truffle takes the childhood flavour we all know and love and transforms it into a scrumptiously sophisticated delight. Inside the crisp, dark chocolate shell is a velvety smooth, alluringly luscious, truffley centre seeped in sensuous citrus. But that’s not all. To caress your senses a little more, we’ve sprinkled this enchating dream of a truffle with bursts of temptingly tangy mandarin. In short, it’s a chocolatey jewel of joyful juiciness and we think you’re going to love it!
The fourth and final truffle in our brand new range is Chocolate Salted Caramel. This moreish marriage of flavours was first developed in France in the 1980s and fast became a modern classic. With our Booja-Booja family already containing Chocolate Salted Caramel vegan ice cream and Almond Salted Caramel truffles we felt the time was right to go all out for pure salted caramel perfection and create a Chocolate Salted Caramel truffle.
In order to ensure just the right amount of chewy, gooey gorgeousness we make our own caramel to a carefully crafted recipe. Cornish sea salt gives it a gentle playful tickle as it’s blended with sensuously smooth dark chocolate to create a veritable festival of fabulously full flavour. This is not a truffle to be rushed. Take your time, make space in your mind and surrender your heart to sublime salty, sumptuous bliss.
All four of our new chocolate truffles; Chocolate Salted Caramel, Chocolate Orange, Honeycomb Caramel and Deeply Chocolate (see our previous blog post for more about these two delights) are now available from hundreds of independent retailers across the UK; wholefood stores, delicatessens, fine food departments and farm shops.
